The ACC Library & Learning Commons maintains a collection of Course Reserves containing textbooks and supplemental materials to support the courses offered at both ACC campuses. Course Reserves are provided to ensure all students have access to academic materials.
At the Littleton Campus, Course Reserves are located on the library's second floor. Students will need to ask for the items at the Circulation Desk.
Faculty members are encouraged to place a copy of their required materials on reserve for their students. These items usually check out for two hours and cannot leave the Library or the Sturm campus unless otherwise stated by the instructor.
A reserve item may be something owned by the library, a department, or an individual instructor. The Library does NOT purchase textbooks. Faculty members wishing to put an item on reserve must submit a complete “Reserves Request” form for each course they teach (see on the left). The material will be kept on the shelf for either a designated time period or permanently.
To ensure all students have fair access to Course Reserves, items on reserve are not renewable. The faculty member is responsible for retrieving their materials at the end of the designated time period. For permanent items, the Library will contact the instructor or department to ensure the material is still being used. Please allow 24 hours to process each request.
