FRCC Library Video Tutorials

These videos and step-by-step guides can help you make the most of FRCC-Larimer Campus collections and services.

Welcome! The videos in this guide will help you get the most out of the library services and tools available to you at Harmony Library at FRCC-Larimer Campus.

This first page goes over how to access databases remotely, whether you're on FrontRange.edu, MyCourses/D2L, or on PoudreLibraries.org. Browse the other menu tabs on the left to find database tips, searching the public library's collection and searching multiple Colorado library collections, and understanding primary sources. The search box could also help you find tips throughout our Research Guides.

Contact us if you have any questions about using the databases or run into issues logging in.

How to Login Remotely to Databases

As an FRCC student, staff member, or instructor, you have access to the thousands of eBooks, academic journals, magazines, videos, and other digital resources in the Library collection. Here's how to login to these subscriptions when you are not on FRCC's campus or in a Poudre Libraries building. This video goes over how to find our database list from FrontRange.edu.

(If you use MyCourses or PoudreLibraries more frequently, see the next menu tab, "Where are the databases on MyCourses/PoudreLibraries?" for additional access points!)

  1. Visit the FRCC-LC Database List: https://cccs.libguides.com/frcclcdatabases

2. Click on any database link from the list. The databases are organized by subject. (The Databases, Alphabetized menu links to the full list of databases with other filters.)

3. When you click on a database, you will see a Colorado Community College System banner, asking if you are associated with CCCS (the Colorado Community College System). Click the “Colorado Community Colleges Login” button.

4. Enter your S number to log in and access FRCC Library online resources from home, a cafe -- anywhere you have internet access!

How to Receive a Flex Card from PoudreLibraries

A Poudre Libraries card will offer you even more options for borrowing books and some additional database logins that the public library subscribes to. If you are not able to come into Poudre Libraries locations in person, you can sign up for a Flex Card which will still let you use Kanopy, Libby, Hoopla, and other public library apps and databases! The video below goes over how to sign up for a Flex Card:
