Creative Commons

Creative Commons licenses offer more options than traditional copyrights. They allow you to share your work online and choose how others can use it. You can release it as public domain material or use a combination of 4 elements to protect your work.These licenses are legally binding and depend on copyright to work.

The elements you can use are:

Attribution (By): You must be credited as the original creator, even if you choose to also grant the right to remix, adapt, or build upon your work.

Share Alike (SA): Your work and any adaptations must be shared with the same rights that you have granted.

No Derivatives (NO): Your work may not be remixed, adapted, or built upon.

Non-Commercial (NC): Your work may be used and shared as long as it is not for commercial purposes.
